The mentor of our Nyas, Late Sh Bhaorao Deoras ji wanted to make the socially and economically weaker section of the society capable to stand on their own with pride. For that, he wanted to provide the facilities related to health and education to them.
In the field of education, he was the person behind the establishment of first Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Gorakhpur, a school to give primary education to the little ones for a stronger foundation.
Keeping this objective in mind, the Trust decided to motivate the intelligent students of Class 5 and 8 by giving scholarships to them so that they continue their studies without a break. Starting from 1995-96, through Bhartia Shiksha Parishad, the Nyas is giving around 5 to 8 Lakh rupees as scholarships to the meritorious students of UP, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, North-Eastern States along with others. Till the year 2019-20, the number of students who received the scholarship was 974.
In the year 2019-20, 108 students received Rs. 6,58,000 as scholarship. These students were from Leh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Delhi, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
Along with this, the Trust also gives around Rs. 2 lakh to the institutions working in the field of education with the mission to spread Indian culture, life-values, Nationality, etc. among the teachers and students. In 2018-2019, 15 institutions received Rs 2,30,000 from the Nyas under this scheme.
