Swasthaya Sewa Prakalp

The mentor of our Nyas, Late Sh Bhaorao Deoras ji wanted to make the socially and economically weaker section of the society capable to stand on their own with pride. For that, he wanted to provide the facilities related to health and education to them.

In the field of Health, a project, Swasthya Seva Prakalp, was initiated on 22nd July 1994. It was formulated under the guidance of our senior Trustee, Shri Brahmadev Sharma “Bhaijee”. The meeting of around 100 senior clinicians was addressed by the Chairman of the Nyas, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The aim of the project was:

  • To provide health services to the needy and uncared for poor of this country.
  • To inculcate the sense of responsibility and sensitiveness towards patient’s sufferings as their national duty.

Programs:

  • To organize health camps in Rural and urban slums for free health check ups and preliminary treatments.
  • To refer patients with serious illnesses and ensure their proper diagnosis, treatment and operations in tertiary care hospitals.
  • To organize free treatment clinics for eye ailments.
  • To organize camps to help handicapped persons
  • To organize Health education awareness camps
  • To actively participate in existing Maternal and child care efforts of government including immunization.
  • To organize blood donation camps
  • To actively participate in polio eradication program of government of India

Activities

1994 -95

  • Dedication ceremony of van donated by Jai Narain trust, Kanpur as first mobile clinic of Nyas on 20th September, 1994 in the presence of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Honorable Governor Shri Motilal Vohra
  • Mobile clinic and outdoor started on 21st September 1994 in urban slums
  • More than 8000 patients were referred to tertiary care centers and their proper treatment ensured
  • A meeting of clinicians organized under the banner of National Medicos organization (NMO) on the topic of health education under the chairmanship of Dr. Janardan Thakur
  • A booklet distribution on detection and treatment of plague undertaken

1995 -96

  • Mobile clinic and outdoor benefited 6453 patients in urban slums
  • 10,000 children were immunized for polio in 18 centers of Rajajeepuram
  • Blood group identification was undertaken in 80 persons and donation in 10 persons
  • 12 clinicians of Sewa Bharti of Sitapur undertook health check up of 2000 patients
  • A camp was organized at Bakshi Ka Talab from 11 – 20 December 1995 for the free treatment clinics for eye ailments: 250 checkups and 77 operations of cataract performed
  • Varsh Pratipada celebrations addressed by “Bhaijee” in Medical College Lucknow

1996 – 97

  • Mobile clinic and outdoor benefited 12,400 patients in urban slums and another 138 in central camp
  • Health workshop (Clinician and Society) held on 28 April 96 at medical college Lucknow
  • Blood group identification was undertaken at 6 places with 410 registered cases
  • 12,000 children were immunized for polio in 18 centers of Rajajeepuram
  • In February 97 during mass marriage ceremony organized by Kalyan Mandapam health check up undertaken by Nyas workers
  • A camp was organized at Bakshi Ka Talab from 13 – 20 February 1997 for the free treatment clinics for eye ailments: 250 checkups and 77 operations of cataract performed. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shri Laljee Tandon, visited the camp. CMO Lucknow declared it as the best eye camp. Work was highly appreciated by World Bank officials.
  • On 6 April 1997, 22 young clinicians of Sewa Bharti of Sitapur undertook health check up of 5000 patients. Prof PK Mishra (Prinicipal KGMC), Prof NC Mishra and Prof Harish Chandra participated in the camp.
  • On 6 April 1997, Varsh Pratipada was celebrated at KGMC auditorium. Shri Om Prakashjee (Regional Pracharak, RSS) and Shri Ramapati Shastri, Health Minister addressed the gathering.
  • A camp for chest diseases and bronchitis was organized in backward areas of Akilapur and rural area of Mall. 115 and 780 patients were benefited in two areas. People were also educated on harmful effects of smoking.

1997 – 98

  • Health service started in Amebedkar Nagar in the presence of Shri Brahmdev Sharma “Bhaijee” and Shri Ramapati Shastri, Health Minister. 2000 patients benefited in this two day a week schedule health center.
  • 6 gynecologists and 4 pediatricians participated in maternal-childcare health camp held in Bataha Saboli, Akilapur. 200 children and 50 women were examined and given treatment free of charge. Women were informed about benefits of small family.
  • Health care was provided to participants in Rashtria Sewika Samiti training camp held in June 97 at Nirala nagar, Lucknow.
  • Health care centers were run in 34 urban slums under UBSP program of District Urban Development Authority (DUDA).
  • On 23rd November 1997, 45,000 swayam sewaks participated in root march to reach urmila vatika to attend a meeting addressed by Prof Rajendra Singh, Sar Sangh Chalak of RSS. Health care was provided at 11 centers on route. 11 mobile clinics equipped with all facilities and supervised by two senior physicians.
  • A camp was organized at Bakshi Ka Talab from 20 – 28 January 1998 for the free treatment clinics for eye ailments: 258 checkups and 69 operations of cataract performed by team led by Prof Ram Kapur.

1998 – 99

  • Dedication ceremony of van donated by Pandit Kashinath grand son of Pandit Radhe Shyam as a second mobile clinic of Nyas on 12th April, 1998 in the presence of Shri Mohan Bhagwat, chief RSS physical education chief and Santosh Gangwar, MP, at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Nainital.
  • 28 specialist clinicians participated in free health check up and treatment camp organized by VHP at Sudarshanpuri sewa slum on 21st June 1998. 1000 patients were provided treatment in the camp.
  • Nyas attached clinicians and workers participated in polio eradication drive launched by the government.

  • On 6th September10 clinicians of Sewa Bharti of Sitapur participated in free health check up and distribution of medicines to 10,000 patients at Sanda Thesil of sitapur. Camp was organized by Sewa vibhag of RSS.
  • In May 1998, RSS Avadh Prant organized annual training camp. All the arrangements for health check up and Nyas made treatment. A mobile clinic was also set up for this purpose.
  • 25 specialist clinicians participated in free health check up and treatment camp organized by VHP at paper mill colony slum on 6th July 1998. 800 patients were provided treatment in the camp.
  • On 25th September, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay a van equipped with all facilities was dedicated to the Nyas at sewa bast, Rahim Nagar. Shri Jai Gopaljee, Shri Om Prakashjee, Shri Deneshjee (All from RSS) and Shri Laljee Tandon, minister in UP government attended the ceremony. It was also attended by Director State Urban Development Authority (SUDA), Mr. NN Jha.. SUDA sponsored non-formal education and health program was inaugurated.
  • Vidya Bharati organized a sport meet on 29-31 November in Lucknow. Nyas clinical team looked after the treatment needs of the participants.
  • State Urban Development Authority (SUDA), organized free health camps for diagnosis and treatment of poor in 50 slums of Lucknow on 1st January, 1999. Nyas doctors provided the clinical input in the camps.
  • A camp was organized at three centers of Bakshi Ka Talab, Itaunja and Kumahrwa from 27th January till 6th February 1998 for the free treatment clinics for eye ailments: 850 checkups and 189 operations of cataract performed by team led by Nyas attached doctors. Patients were also provided free food, lodging and spectacles. Cabinet ministers Shri Om Prakash Singh, Dr. Shivakant Oza, Shri Devendra Singh Bhole, and Shri Baleshwar Tyagi attended the camp and provide the encouragement.
  • From 1st January 1999 to 31st Dec 1999, Free Health Camps were organized in 59 urban slums of Lucknow. Both DUDA & SUDA sponsored the program. In 34 colonies, DUDA sponsored services were given where 61689 patients got benefitted. In 25 colonies, SUDA sponsored services were given where 39521 patients got benefitted.

1999 – 2000

  • In 1999-200, under National Pulse Polio drive, the Trust was awarded 6 centres in Lucknow. This was done in six steps where the workers of the Polio booths visited all the houses in these colonies, surveyed for the eligible children and gave the polio drops to them. In 64 colonies allotted to the Trust, a total of 15,769 children received the Polio drop.

Lakshman Mela 2000

Swasthya Seva Prakalp provided free health care and treatment facilities in this event. A small exhibition of Nyas was displayed and some literature about the activities of Swasthya Seva Prakalp was distributed.

Camps for Physically Handicapped:

Nyas has organized 2 camps during year 1999-2000. In first camp organized on 26th January 99 with the help of National handicapped institute, Kolkotta 55 tricycles, 15 wheel chairs, 57 crutches, and 20 calipers were distributed among handicapped persons. Union Minister Mrs Maneka Gandhi was the Chief Guest. The effort was coordinated by Sh Rajnath Singh, MP, and was attended by the Minister of Social Welfare, Shri Harish Chandra Srivastav, and the Minister of Health and Medicine, Shri Ramapati Shashtri.

Second camp was organized on 16th February 2000 with the help of Artificial Limb and Metallic Prosthate Company (ALIMPCO). 24 tricycles, 5 wheel chairs, and 34 crutches, were distributed among handicapped persons. Professor Rajendra Singh, Sar Sangh Chalak, RSS was the chief guest. Shri Kalraj Mishr, Srimati Premlata katiyar and Shri Ramapati Shashtri, Minister, Health and Medical attended the camp.

Free Eye Care camp:

A camp was organized at three centers of Bakshi Ka Talab, Itaunja and Kumahrwa from 1st March till 9th March 1998 for the free treatment clinics for eye ailments: 850 checkups and 189 operations of cataract performed by team led by Nyas attached doctors. Patients were also provided free food, lodging and spectacles. Shri Ramapati Shashtri, cabinet minister, health and Medical attended the camp and provided the encouragement.

Inauguration of Patient care Center:

As per the guidance of trustees it was decided to start a patient care center in the memory of late Shri Madhav Rao Dewede

Patient care Center:

Trustees in their meeting decided to start a Patient Care Center to commemorate the memory of late Shri Madhav Rao Dewde, a senior and revered Pracharak of Rashtri Swayam Sewak Sangh. For this on 16th February 2000 Patient Care Center was inaugurated in C-91 Nirala Nagar by Shri Suresh Rao Ketkar in the presence of Chief guest, Shri Om Prakash Singh, Minister, Government of UP.

Meeting of medical fraternity to Honor Prof Mahendra Bhandari:

Bhau Rao Deoras Sewa Nyas had organized a meeting to honor Prof Mahendra Bhandari for his been conferred Padmshri by the President of India for his invaluable contributions to the field of medical health care, education and research. Prof Bhandari has revolutionized the field of kidney transplantation in India and contributed significantly in efforts to establish the cadaver organ transplant program in this country. Professor Bhandari delivered an oration on “Medical Fraternity, Society and Movement”. Shri Laljee Tandon, Minister, and Government of UP, Dr. Devendra Pratap Singh, Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University, Dr Vinay Mishr, Dr.Sudhanshu, Dr. Surykant and DR. SC Rai graced the function.

2000 – 2001

Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas started the work of free health check up and distribution of medicines from 1st January 2000 in 85 urban slums. The work in 35 slums was sponsored by District Urban Development Authority (DUDA) and in 50 slums was sponsored by State Urban Development Authority (SUDA).

In 35 colonies, DUDA sponsored services were given and in 50 colonies, SUDA sponsored services were given. In all, 79,955 patients got benefitted.

Universal Pulse Polio Immunization Program:

From 24th September 2000 to 21st January 2001, 4 camps were organized on different dates in Nirala Nagar and on each day 5 booths were allotted to Nyas. A total of 5411 children were given the drops in these camps.

Handicapped Relief Camp:

Nyas organized on 17th January 2001a Relief camp to help for handicapped persons. Indian artificial limb manufacturing company (ALIMCO) helped to distribute 56 tricycles, 26 wheelchairs and 23 crutches. Srimati Premlata katiyar, and Shri Ramapati Shastri graced the function. Dr.Suryakant, Secretary Health Service Project, coordinated the function.

Lucknow Health Fair:

A health fair was organized in the KGMC campus ground from 31st January to 4rth February with the help of central and state government. Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee graced the occasion and blessed the workers. The stall number 31st allotted to Nyas was totally managed by Nyas doctors and workers. They provided free health check up and free distribution of medicines.

In five days, 1403 patients were examined, 259 ECG were done and 1030 were given the medicines.

Free Eye Examination Camp:

Nyas organized three camps at Bakshi Ka Talab, Kmuhrawan (Itaunja) and Arjun Ganj. The patients were registered between 0 5 – 07 February 2001. 166 Registered patients were examined and cataract operation was performed on 112 patients. Patients were provided free lodging, boarding, blankets and spectacles along with medicines. The camp was innagurated by Shri Ramapati Shastri, minister, Government of UP and Shri Gomati Yadav graced the concluding session. Famous eye surgeon Dr. Ram Kapoor who led the operating team of doctors coordinated Camp.

Foundation of Madhav Sewa Ashram:

As per the decision of trustees of Bhau Rao Deoras Nyas it was decided to establish Madhav Sewa Ashram to cater for the needy patients and their relatives attending Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) for their serious ailments. Shri Raj Nath Singh, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, laid Ashram foundation stone on 26th March 2001 on a 5000 sq. mt piece of land given on lease by the Department of Irrigation in front of SGPGIMS on Raibareli Road. Shri Madan Das, Sar-Sah Karyavah, RSS, Shri Om Prakash Singh and Shri Laljee Tandon, Cabinet ministers, Government of Uttar Pradesh graced the occasion.

Specialized Health Service Centers: Activity of Health Service Centers:

Under health project nyas doctors and mobile clinic staff members conduct free health check up and undertake distribution of medicines to the needy once every week between 10.30 to 12.30 in morning hours. These centers cater for 150 to 250 patients at each of the following centers.

Village Sarswan, Arjunganj, Sultanpur Road, Luckhnow on every Tuesday.

Village Mahigawan, Bakshi Ka Talab, Luckhnow on every Thursday. 3. Madhav Sewa Ashram, near SGPGI, Raibareli Road, Luckhnow on every Saterday.

2001 – 2002

  • Activity of Health Service Centers: Health centers sponsored by State Urban Development Authority (SUDA) were organized in 50 slums colonies. The number of beneficiaries was 42317 in the year.
  • Three Special Health Camps: 11804 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 5237 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 560 patients were tested and 123 had to undergo Cataract operation.
  • National Pulse-Polio Program and the Nyas: 2774 children got the dose of Pulse-Polio on three different days.
  • New Mobile Health Checkup Van: Rajya Sabha MP Prof. MM Agarwal, fom his MP fund donated a large Medical Van (Swaraj Mazda) to Nyas on May 25, 2001 at Madhav Sabhagar, Nirala Nagar, Luckow. Sh. Laljee Tandon, UP Minister handed over the Van to Nyas.

2002 – 2003

  • Activity of Health Service Centers: Health centers sponsored by State Urban Development Authority (SUDA) were organized in 50 slums colonies. The number of beneficiaries was 54215 in the whole year.
  • Three Special Health Camps: 7778 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 7131 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 455 patients were tested and 155 had to undergo Cataract operation.
  • Other Free Health Checkup Camps: Nyas organised seven more health checkup camps during the year. Around 12000 people including 8000 children got benefited by these camps.
  • New Mobile Health Checkup Van: Legislator Sh Laljee Tandon, from his Lagislature Fund, donated a Mobile Medical Van, Mahindra Van, to the Nyas. Hon. Governor of UP, Sh. Vishnukant Shastri ji handed over the van to Nyas on January 25, 2003.

2003 – 2004

  • Three Special Health Camps: 9054 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 8269 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 1376 patients were tested and 506 had to undergo Cataract operation in 2 camps.
  • Cancer Awareness Camp: On the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji, a camp was organised to create awareness about cancer in the people. 425 patients were checked in it. Cancer specialist of KGMU Dr ML Bhatt, Chest Specialist Dr Suyyakant and other prominent doctors took part in it.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 35 tricycles, 6 wheelchairs, 9 calipers and 15 crutches were distributed at Nirala Nagar, Lucknow on February 17, 2004.
  • Health Camp – 2004: In two camps, free spectacles were distributed to 331 school students of 6-14 year age.
  • Medical Facility in the camps: In the camps of Sanskrit Bharati and Durga Vahini, medical facility was provided by the Nyas in the month of June.

2004 – 2005

  • Three Special Health Camps: 8517 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 7615 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 878 patients were tested and 336 had to undergo Cataract operation. Sh. Shyamnandan Singh, Dr JP Yadav and Mayor Dr SC Rai were present on the occasion.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 26 tricycles, 7 wheelchairs, 2 calipers and 18 crutches were distributed at Mahona, Lucknow on M<arch 30, 2005. Many dignitaries were present on the occasion.

2005 – 2006

  • Three Special Health Camps: 8335 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 7895 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 878 patients were tested and 336 had to undergo Cataract operation in 2 camps.
  • Asthma Awareness Camp: With the help of Cipla Farma, five camps were organised to create awareness about Asthma. Chest Specialist of KGMU, Dr Suryakant took part in all these camps.

2006 – 2007

  • Ardhkumbh Swasthya Shivir, Prayag: From January 8, 2007 to February 3, 2007 during the Ardhkumbh Mela, Free medical test and treatment was provided to 2249 devotees.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 22 tricycles, 4 wheelchairs, and 14 crutches were distributed at Arjun Ganj, Lucknow on June 21, 2006.
  • Medical Facility in the camps: In the camps of RSS and Durga Vahini, medical facility was provided in the month of June by the Nyas.

2007 – 2008

  • Six Special Health Camps: 8841 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 9863 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 92 patients were tested and 40 had to undergo Cataract operation.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 45 tricycles, 5 wheelchairs, 33 crutches, 7 walking sticks, 28 hearing machines, and 40 calipers were distributed at Bakshi ka Talaab, Lucknow on Dec. 12, 2007.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3133 patients used the services there.

2008 – 2009

  • Six Special Health Camps: 9677 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 13595 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3709 patients used the services there.
  • Free Diabetes, High BP and Obesity Examination Camp: Camps at three different locations were held by expert doctors of Lucknow for these ailments and medicines were distributed free of cost.

2009 – 2010

  • Six Special Health Camps: 6174 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 14428 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 4699 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 108 patients were tested and 48 had to undergo Cataract operation.

2010 – 2011

  • Six Special Health Camps : 6078 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 13987 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3957 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 467 patients were tested and 170 had to undergo Cataract operation.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 210 tricycles, 17 wheelchairs, 28 crutches, 21 hearing machines, and 11 calipers were distributed at Sitapur, UP on Feb. 23, 2011.

2011 – 2012

  • Six Special Health Camps : 6159 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 14144 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3649 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 197 patients were tested and 68 had to undergo Cataract operation.

2012 – 2013

  • Six Special Health Camps : 6951 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 11865 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3959 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 277 patients were tested and 128 had to undergo Cataract operation in the two camps at Sitapur, and Lucknow in UP.
  • Mahakumbh Swasthya Shivir, Prayag: Free medical checkup and treatment was provided to 2323 devotees during the Mahakumbh in Prayag in January-February, 2013.
  • Opening of Dental Clinic at Nirala Nagar, Lucknow: On May 29, 2012, a Dental Clinic was inaugurated by the Ex-Mayor, Dr. SC Rai.

2013 – 2014

  • Six Special Health Camps: 6473 patients were treated in these 3 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 13255 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 4421 patients used the services there.

  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 4454 patients used the services there
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 224 patients were tested and 70 had to undergo Cataract operation.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: 32 tricycles, 12 LCP Kits, and 10 calipers were distributed at Bindowa, Lucknow, UP on Feb. 23, 2015.

2015 – 2016

  • Six Special Health Camps: 6927 patients were treated in these 6 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 12583 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3707 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 249 patients were tested and 93 had to undergo Cataract operation in the camp held at Hardoi, UP.
  • A Camp for Divyang people: With the help of Alinko, Kanpur, 356 tricycles, 49 wheelchairs, 308 crutches, 14 latest technology sticks, 9 special sticks for visually disabled, 65 hearing aids, 1 braille slate and 32 artificial body parts were distributed at Madhav Sahagar, Nirala Nagar, Lucknow on January 12, 2016.
    Sah-Sarkaryawah of RSS, Minister Sh Thawar Chandra Gahlot and Hon. Governor Sh Ramnaik ji graced the occasion.

2016 – 2017

  • Six Special Health Camps: 6737 patients were treated in these 6 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 15109 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3432 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 176 patients were tested and 61 had to undergo Cataract operation in the camp held at Mohallalganj, Lucknow, UP on September 13, 2016.
    In another camp held at Kamlapur, Sitapur, UP on November 06, 2016, a total of 526 patients were tested and 161 had to undergo Cataract operation. All the operations were performed at IGEHRC, Lucknow.
  • Swasthya Sewa Prakalp, Amethi: Under the guidance of the very senior and Founder Trustee of the Nyas, Sh. Brahmdev Sharma, “Bhaiji”, the Nyas adopted three tehsils of Amethi – Amethi, Gauriganj and Jagdishpur, with the aim to socially uplift the people of the weaker section of the society. The Nyas has taken many projects related to health and education which include Free Eye Camps, Free Divyang Sewa Camps, Health Checkup camps and Tree plantation. In the camps for health checkup which are organised with the help of the doctors of KGMU Hospital, many patients are selected for Cataract operation and spectacles. Cataract operations are also performed in KGMU Hospital.

2017 – 2018

  • Six Special Health Camps: 8444 patients were treated in these 6 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 15730 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 3304 patients used the services there.
  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 351 patients were tested and 137 had to undergo Cataract operation in the camp held at Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, UP. The operations were performed in IGEHRC, Lucknow.
  • Eye Testing of Roadways Bus Drivers: With the aim to minimise the road accidents by eye testing and distributing spectacles to the drivers of the Roadways buses, two camps were organised, one on January 23, 2018 at Kaisarbagh Depot, Lucknow and the second in Kanpur in the presence of Transport Minister Sh. Swatantra Dev Singh and Health Education Minister Sh. Ashutosh Tandon.
  • MoU between Nyas and KGMU: In the presence of Health Education Minister Sh Ashutosh Tandon, an MoU was signed for the Health Services between the Nyas and KGMU, Lucknow. Dr. Devendra Pratap Singh, Secretary, Bhaorao Deoras Seva Nyas signed on behalf of the Nyas and Dr. MLB Bhatt, Vice-Chancellor of KGMU signed on behalf of the Hospital.
  • Vishram Sadan at AIIMS, Delhi: On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, i.e., January 14, 2018, the Vishram Sadan built by Power Grid Corporation of India for AIIMS, New Delhi which has the facility of 280 beds, was handed over to Nyas for its management. Dr. Krishnagopal ji, Sah-Sarkaryawah of RSS inaugurated the Vishram Sadan. Sh. Sudesh Kumar Jha, Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India was present on this occasion.
    Till March 31, 2020, a total of 22,117 attendants have stayed here and used the services being provided.

2018 – 2019

  • Six Special Health Camps: 6152 patients were treated in these 6 special health camps in three different slum colonies.

  • Free Eye Examination Camp: A total of 265 patients were tested and 169 had to undergo Cataract operation in the camp held at Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, UP. The operations were performed in IGEHRC, Lucknow.
  • Netra Kumbh at Prayagkumbh, Prayagraj: The Netra Kumbh, a unique project of its kind was successfully completed by Nyas with help of many other organisations, Hospitals, and Doctors. It started on January 12 and ended on March 4, 2019. A record 2,02,020 patients were tested for the eye-ailments and free spectacles were distributed to 155210 peoples, both the numbers recorded in Limca Book of Records.
  • Divyangjan Instruments Distribution Programme: On Nov. 19, 2018, different instruments were distributed to the needy divyang people in Amethi in gracious presence of State Minister Sh. Vijay Sampla ji.
  • Mobile Medical Vans received by Nyas: Antyodaya Health Mission of the Nyas received 4 different Medical Vans for the patients and the medical staff. These are:
    • A new Ambulance using the MP fund of Dr. Ashok Bajpayee.
    • A travellar bus from the CSR fund of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
    • A Bolero Jeep from the CSR fund of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
    • A Mobile Medical Van from the CSR fund of Sheelchandra Agro Oil Pvt. Ltd., Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.

2019 – 2020

2020 – 2021

This year started with the spread of Corona Pandemic all over the world. In India also, complete lockdown was imposed on 22nd March 2020. Since then, most of the activities are at a standstill position. Therefore, the health related activities of Nyas are also not active.

During this period, the Nyas took a project in Delhi to provide food, Oxygen Cylinders, Oxygen Concentrator, Masks, Gloves, Hand-Sanitizers etc to the needy people.

2021 – 2022

This year also, the spread of Corona Pandemic continued all over the world. In Bharat also, lockdown was continued for most of the time. Slowly the things became better and the activities were started at a slow pace and the total number of beneficiaries were 10655.

2022-23

  • Six Special Health Camps : 3064 patients were treated in these 6 special health camps in three different slum colonies.
  • Madhav Rao Devle Memorial Rugn Sewa Kendra: A total of 10394 patients used this service in the whole year.
  • Rugn Sewa Kendra, Madhav Sewa Ashram: At this centre, patients visit for Homeopathic medicine. This year, 2725 patients used the services there.
